Scales and Scorpions

After 43 years I’ve had the biggest bombshell of my life dropped on me.   I can’t believe that this could happen and now my life has changed forever.   I was shocked, shocked!, I tell you.   It turns out that my astrological sign has changed.   That’s right!  After all this time of happily being a Libra, I’m now a Scorpio.   I guess it turns out that the earth is actually moving in space.  (I was really surprised to learn this).  Since it keeps moving around its relationship to the constellations is slowly changing as well.    I supposed the even more horrible news is that this whole thing could happen again in another 3000 years or so.  

I don’t want to be a Scorpio!   I’ve always been a Libra, and you know what?   I’m going to take a stand right here and right now.   I’m not changing!   No goofy “star doctor” is going to just up and change my sign.   I’m staying Libra!   I’m balanced.  I’m scales.  I’m not some damn scorpion.    I’m diplomatic, not resourceful.  Wait, maybe I’m both of those.   Okay, I’m self-indulgent not stubborn.   Wait, maybe I’m both of those too.   Hold on a second?   I could actually be both of these signs.  Okay, maybe that’s a better stand.   I’m going to be both Libra and Scorpio.   I’m might even be Pisces as well.
